Area: Irene, Centurion  

Days and Times:

Monday to Friday: 07h00 – 18h00

Saturday: 08h00 – 15h00

Salary: R12,000 – R14,000/pm + AA rates

Children: 1 (3 years old)

School: Playgroup

Duties:

Transport to extra mural activities

Prepare lunch/Snacks

Grocery shopping

Looking after and general care, creating educational games and activities, arranging and attending play dates, driving to doctor and other appointments as needed, cooking (including creating menus and trying different foods), getting her dressed and changed through the day, bathing, speaking to her for interaction and learning, playing her music, rotating toys and play area set up for interest & fun learning, and most importantly being a source of comfort and friendship, making learning fun as she is an only child who is eager to play learn interact.

Running of errands and shopping if there is time, travel with the family from time to time if needed. Someone calm and even by nature. Spend time with grandparents and child, facilitating time for them to spend together. Ideally need someone who is able to comfortably and collaboratively potty train and gradually teach her more and more independence in terms of getting dressed, packing away her toys, etc, set up play areas that enables her to do things for herself in a safe manner.

Start date: ASAP (Live In / Live Out)

Period: Long-term (12 months+)

Au Pair Requirements:

English speaking candidate 24 – 30+

Must have own car and valid driver’s license

Must have Matric certificate

Must be a non-smoker

Must have First Aid/CPR Training

Must have previous childcare experience – formal ECD qualification, ideally Montessori qualification

Preferably live close to the area
